Today students took a quiz on Family and possessive adjectives. Then, they were given the instructions and template for their "Mi Familia Famosa" mini project: mi_familia_famosa_project.docx. I modeled what students would have to do on the board, and then students got to work on filling out their family trees and beginning their description sentences for each family member. Tonight, your homework is to find 12 pictures of your famous family members and print them out -- all 12 members should be able to fit on 1 page of paper (just paste the pics into a MS Word document....4 rows of 3 people each). If you do not have a printer, email me the document and I will print it for you at school.
Today we reviewed possessive adjectives and reviewed the new vocab practicing with some activities using the laptops. TOMORROW May 9th we have our quiz over new vocab and possessive adjectives. ESTUDIEN POR FAVOR!
Over the last few days students have learned the new vocab (family, places, activities, etc.) We reviewed the new family vocab by doing some listening activities. Here is Audio #1 and Audio #2. We also completed a family riddles and a sentence scramble sheet. We have also learned how to conjugate irregular Yo/GO verbs. We filled out this chart, and then completed these exercises. Here is the powerpoint presentation that explains this concept. Students also worked on this practice sheet and "La Familia" vocab packet for a grade. They worked on this vocab crossword puzzle as well to help familiarize themselves with the vocab for this unit. We will have a quiz over new vocab and possessive adjectives on Thursday May 9!
Today students took the unit test over stem changing verbs and TPRS.
TPRS stories were collected today. After the test we started defining the new vocabulary for our final unit. If you were absent, you can get the words here. We will review new vocab tomorrow Thursday May 2nd. |
