Today we practiced on the board for our test tomorrow using this PP presentation. Then we played palomitas and students had the opportunity to practice vocabulary. We also started writing a letter to Paco. Remember we have a test tomorrow!
Today we practiced for our unit test with the study guide. Then we finished watching the movie Selena.
In today's class we studied "infinitive verbs phrases" and then completed this writing assignment where students detailed their classes and daily activities. I helped students fill out the chart, and modeled 1 of the 4 short paragraphs students were to write. If you didn't finish the writing assignment in class, then finish it for HW. I told students we have our unit text next Tuesday March 26th.
Today in class we reviewed AR Verbs by conjugating them and then students took the quiz. After the quiz, weworkedtogether on: ch._2a_vocab_practice_classes_and_ordinal_numbers.pdf and ir_-_to_go_gp_wkbk_pages.pdf. We then expanded upon yesterday's notes on "Ir" (to go) to learn about the structure of "Ir + a + Infinitive" to express the simple future tense so students can say what people are "going to do." We also started with these 3 listening activities. Here are the audio files we used:
06_06_audio_activity_5_p._31.wma 07_07_audio_activity_6_p._31.wma 12_12_audio_activity_9_p._34.wma Today in class students took notes on the irregular verb "ir" (to go). Although it is a very irregular verb, it conjugates very similarly to regular -AR verbs, so it fits in nicely with this chapter. Here is a PowerPoint that covers the notes we took today: ir_–.pptx. Please watch video below. Today we went through our vocab list, completed some exercises conjugating AR verbs, and worked on our magic books. MAGIC BOOKS are due Monday March 18th. We have a quiz on Tuesday March 19th that will cover new vocab and conjugation of AR verbs. Remember we are not using verb "gustar" at all! Only present tense of AR verbs.
Today we took quiz #5 and then started working on our magic books. Please bring them back tomorrow so we can finish them. Please read the instructions before coming to class tomorrow: -ar_verbs_magic_book_present_tense.doc
Today we translated English sentences into Spanish using gustar and the new vocab_. We wrote the sentences on individual boards and corrected them when needed. Then we went to the computer lab and practiced more for tomorrow's quiz. Please, do not forget to study for tomorrow's quiz on verb "gustar", Indirect Object Pronouns (Me, Te, Le, Nos, Os, Les), new vocab and infinitive verbs. Review PowerPoint presentation on gustar.
GOOD LUCK! Today in class we played a game using indirect object pronouns, new vocabulary and verb "gustar". Teams created sentences and learned when to use "gusta" and "gustan". The last part of the class we completed this activity: day_1_gustar.pdf
